Cafés and pubs have their own distinctive rhythm. Coffee bean varieties change frequently, seasonal cocktails such as summer lemonades or winter mulled wine are added, and in the evenings bartenders are busy preparing quick orders.

The first step in creating a QR menu is organizing content. For cafés, listing alternative milks such as almond, oat and coconut is especially important; for pubs, beer strength (ABV), bitterness (IBU) and country of origin matter. This helps guests choose independently without endless questions to the bartender.

The second step is preparing physical QR codes. Minimal wooden stands or elegant stickers on tables look excellent in cafés. The code must be sufficiently large, at least 4×4 cm, and printed in high quality so phones can read it easily even in a dimly lit pub.

Modern cafés also use QR menus for marketing. The bottom of the menu displays the Wi-Fi password, an Instagram link and a Google Reviews button, encouraging guests to leave positive reviews while enjoying their coffee.
