Online store owners are often surprised: advertising is running and thousands of visitors arrive, yet orders remain extremely low. In many cases, the problem is neither the advertising nor the product, but technical and psychological barriers on the website itself.
The first and most common mistake is hidden delivery costs. When a shopper adds a product costing AMD 5,000 to the cart, completes every registration step and unexpectedly faces an additional AMD 2,000 delivery charge at the last moment, they feel deceived and close the page. Delivery costs and times must be clearly and transparently stated on the product page itself.
The second mistake is poor-quality or small images. Online shoppers cannot touch a product; photos and videos are their only reference. If a product has just one low-quality photo, the buyer prefers not to take the risk.
The third factor is insufficient security and trust. If the website lacks a physical company address, working phone numbers, active social media links or clear return terms, visitors are afraid to enter their bank card details. Creating an atmosphere of trust is the main foundation for sales growth.
